PMA Spatial Canvas
Spatial Canvas creates a measured, editable representation of your facility or room. It links visual objects to permanent PMA Housing and equipment records while preserving version history and audit evidence.
Permissions
All organization members can view authorized Spatial Blueprints. Owners, administrators, and managers can create facilities, rooms, blueprints, measured objects, and new versions.
Mobile and desktop
Mobile provides a dependable overview and record links. Precise drag, placement, measurement, rotation, and alignment are optimized for a larger desktop canvas.
Create a measured blueprint

Create or select a facility or room
Spatial Canvas uses the permanent PMA Housing hierarchy. Create a facility or room in the workspace, or choose an existing record.

Enter real dimensions
Record width, height, measurement unit, and grid size. The canvas uses those measurements rather than arbitrary pixels.

Add structural objects
Place boundaries, walls, doors, openings, and notes. Select an object to enter exact position, dimensions, rotation, and layer.

Drag Housing and equipment
Drag permanent rack, stack, enclosure, incubator, or registered equipment records from the library onto the canvas.

Save a version
Enter a clear change note and save. PMA stores an immutable snapshot plus audit evidence while keeping the editable current layout.
Object tools
Measurements
Exact x, y, width, height, grid, and unit values remain visible and editable.
Structure
Boundaries, walls, doors, and openings describe the physical room without pretending to be architectural certification.
Housing links
Placed Housing objects link directly to their authoritative PMA Housing record.
Equipment links
Equipment objects use the PMA equipment registry and retain their permanent record identity.
Locking and alignment
Lock settled objects, rotate them, align them to the room edge or centre, and control layer order.
Version evidence
Every cloud save creates a numbered snapshot and records who changed the blueprint and when.
Operational boundary
PMA Spatial Canvas is a measured planning and record-linking foundation. It does not provide building-code approval, architectural certification, IoT readings, thermostat control, predictive equipment failure, 3D rendering, or automated incident response.
Troubleshooting
Housing does not appear in the library
Confirm the Housing record is within the selected facility or room hierarchy and is a rack, stack, enclosure, tub, or incubator.
Equipment is missing
Register the equipment in Housing Setup first. Spatial Canvas reads the existing equipment registry rather than creating duplicate equipment records.
I cannot edit
Editing requires owner, administrator, or manager permission. Members and keepers retain view access.
An object moves in large steps
Reduce the grid size or turn off snapping. The saved measurements remain bounded to the blueprint dimensions.
