- Users understand which roles can create, acknowledge, or resolve BioShield records.

Step-by-step workflow
Record the quarantine context
Identify the animal or group, starting date, reason, responsible person, and real Housing assignment.
Set operational restrictions
Record supported movement, contact, equipment, sanitation, route, or access constraints without inventing clinical conclusions.
Connect evidence
Attach relevant observations, care records, environmental readings, tasks, and professional instructions when permitted.
Use route and Round safeguards
Ensure sanitation and Guided Round order respects quarantine boundaries and prevents unsafe assumptions about shared equipment or movement.
Acknowledge and escalate exceptions
Record blocked work, breaches, or uncertainty promptly and route them to the responsible role.
Close only with supported authority
Resolve or end the operational quarantine state only when the organization’s procedure and responsible authority permit it.
Expected result
Authorized users can see the active operational restrictions, responsible people, supporting records, and required follow-up without PMA claiming a diagnosis or clearance.
Safety boundaries
- PMA BioShield is an operational evidence system, not veterinary diagnosis.
- Do not remove quarantine because a warning is inconvenient.
- Do not infer safe movement from missing data.
- Do not share restricted medical or customer data beyond permission boundaries.
- Emergency and professional instructions take priority over software suggestions.
Troubleshooting
A route crosses a restricted area
Stop and revise the route or active restrictions. Do not continue because the shortest route was suggested.
A user cannot resolve the case
Confirm role, responsibility, acknowledgement, and organization policy. Resolution may intentionally require management authority.
The animal is assigned to ordinary Housing
Verify the real physical placement and correct the assignment only after confirming the movement occurred.
