Joining the controlled PMA beta
Apply to the Project Mad Adder Public Beta, complete the approval and invitation steps when required, verify your email, and enter the correct workspace without creating duplicate organizations.
Before you begin
- You are at least 18 years old and legally capable of creating a PMA account in your jurisdiction.
- Anyone may submit a Public Beta application while applications are open.
- Access to the email address you will use for PMA.
- Account access is reviewed before approval while PMA uses application-based registration.
- If you are joining another keeper's team, use that team invitation instead of creating a separate workspace.
- A supported modern browser and time to review the policies PMA presents.
Interface walkthrough
These annotated interface maps describe the current PMA controls. They do not replace a real record review in your workspace.
Tell PMA enough about your collection and intended use to support application review. Submitting an application does not create an account.
When application-based registration is active, approved applicants receive the account-access path at the email address they applied with.
Confirms control of the address before PMA activates account access.
Guides a solo keeper into a personal collection and prevents accidental duplicate workspaces when joining an existing organization.
Step-by-step workflow
Submit a Public Beta application
Open the Public Beta page and complete the application. Public applications are open to anyone while this launch mode is active, but access is reviewed rather than automatically granted.
Wait for application review
PMA reviews applications to reduce bots, balance tester needs, and keep support manageable. Approval is not a paid purchase and no card is required during Beta.
Use the approved access path
When approved, use the current invitation or account-access instructions sent to the same email address. Team members should use the team invitation sent by the workspace owner instead.
Create or sign into the matching PMA account
When an invitation is involved, the account email must match the invited address. PMA does not transfer invitation access to another address.
Verify the email address
Complete the verification message before continuing. Check spam or junk folders if it does not arrive promptly.
Review beta terms and privacy information
Read the active policy versions PMA presents and record your decision.
Set up or join the intended workspace
Create your own collection only when you need an independent workspace. If you were invited to a team, join that existing workspace instead.
Expected result
You have one approved and verified PMA account, the intended organization membership or personal workspace, and a clear path into onboarding.
Safety boundaries
- A Public Beta application is open to the public; it does not mean every application instantly creates an account.
- Registration policy may later change to direct open registration, in which case PMA will show that path explicitly.
- Invitations remain single-use, expiring, and revocable where applicable.
- Beta access does not grant paid-plan entitlements, elevated staff permissions, or Control Vault access.
- Team invitations join an existing workspace; they do not create a second organization.
- PMA staff cannot see your password or authentication secrets.
Troubleshooting
Registration says invitation-only
That is expected while Public Beta applications are being reviewed before account access. Submit an application from the Public Beta page if you have not already; approved applicants receive the appropriate access instructions.
I applied but have no invitation yet
Your application may still be awaiting review. Do not create duplicate applications with different email addresses unless PMA support asks you to.
The invitation says expired or invalid
Ask the PMA beta administrator or team owner for a replacement. Do not reuse an older link after a replacement was issued.
My email does not match
Sign out and use the approved address, or contact support if the application was submitted with the wrong address.
I created the wrong organization
Stop adding records and contact support so PMA can review membership and ownership without risking your existing data.
